soul fry

If you are driving a car
and stop at a red light
look at the driver
in the car next to you
and smile

he always smiles back.

Who said you had to stop at red lights? ;)
No, but seriously, I'm too shy to try these things but I'll give it a go.

same here. but somewhere letting go of a little bit can be quite rewarding. or at least entertaining. let me know how it went.

just tried it, didn't work for me man. she thought i was a creep. moral: beware of women drivers.

ha. moral of the story: don't look creepy. or move your eyebrows suggestively.

along the same lines (for those of us who don't drive)... look at someone and compliment them. (only if u mean it) (they may not say something nice back but u'll get a smile)
last night at a wedding reception i saw an old snooty looking parsi lady in pearls and red. what a red it was! like a valentino. and i wanted to say "it's lovely" but i didn't and now i'll never know if she would have smiled.

roark - i really don't know if going up to someone will really be possible for everyone. our thresholds differ. but if you manage it in earnest, why not?

charade - thank you.

jolvin - it was a pleasure. your muttering makes for very interesting reading. and do try. tell me how it went.

mickey - lol. been there. as long as you keep creepiness out of the expresson, should work.

Really? Will try and notice that next time on.

I always love to smile at people -
in particular - grumpy stressed people -
give them a big beaming smile:)

hugs!

educatedunemployed - do let me know how it went. of course, be prepared for confusion.

And I couldn't agree with you more! I do it all the time! Age no bar, sex no bar, looks no bar... It's nice to get a smile out of someone you don't know, isn't it?

hey this one's nice... and true!
:D
I used to do that all the time... Once my friend was riding pillion, and at at one such signal, I grinned at someone out of boredom.. And the uncle grinned back and nodded goodheartedly.. my friend was like, what happened, u guys know each other??? when i said 'No' she giggled and kept teasing me all the way back for being a proper nut-case...

not sure if this works in the car especially when u r learning and drive slow and bad though... :(
